Inspired by the Group of Seven

These painting were all painted on or very near to the same place as a Group of Seven artist painted.  The paintings aren't my best work but it was thrilling to be painting where they painted all those years ago and to realize while a lot has changed over the years much has stayed the same.

I was thrilled to know that I was sitting on the exact same rock as Franklin Carmichael sat to paint in 1934.  The photo on the left is of Carmichael and it was taken by Joachim Gautier and the one on the right, of me, was taken by Martin Kotyluk in October 2018.
