I really struggled with this one in the beginning. My subconscious mind keeps wanting to force me to revert to my normal style. I fought with it until I had the panel covered and then I decided that it had potential. I played with it some more and ended up with a painting that I though was terrible but in hindsight I'm pretty pleased with. By the end of week 52 I might be comfortable painting like Brian and that will be perfectly alright. It's fun when you put down marks that you think are wrong but after putting down more of them it looks fantastic. The trick is not to react to the first brush stroke. |
